The boardwalk at the north end of the property suffered damage early in December 2020 and was deemed unsafe for use. We would like to help Wheeler Historic Farm replace this boardwalk with a new safe structure that will last many years to come. This unique corner of the Farm is a favorite for walkers, family photos, and nature observation. The price of lumber has gone up substantially and the County will not be able to replace the boardwalk for at least a year the replacement cost is $31,000. If you are able to help support this project donations of any amount are appreciated. Donations are fully tax deductible.
Recent Board projects include many improvements to the Activity Barn and surroundings. Check the Projects Page for details.
Our vision for the future includes the construction of a new hands-on education center and restoration projects around the Farm.
The Preschool Playground is complete!
Recent projects include restoration of the roof, gutters and porches on the Farm House. We also secured funding for a pre-school age playground addition near the Pavilion which was completed in the Spring of 2016.
The Wheeler Historic Farm Friends Board actively seeks donations to further their efforts in support of the Farm's History Museum. All donations are tax deductible. For more info on donating to Wheeler Farm contact our Treasurer:
